Using the cooler

➤ Plug the 12/24 V connection cable (fig. 1 2, page 3) into the
DC voltage socket and into the cigarette lighter or a 12 V or
24 V socket.

Caution – danger of overheating

Always ensure that there is sufficient ventilation so that the heat
generated during operation can dissipate. Ensure that the ventila-
tion slots are not covered. Make sure that the device is sufficiently
far away from walls and other objects so that the air can circulate.
➤ Place the cooler on a firm foundation.

Place the cooler as shown (fig. 1, page 3). If you operate the box
in a different position, it can be damaged.
Caution – danger from excessively low temperature

Ensure that the only those objects are placed in the cooler that are
intended to be cooled at the selected temperature.

➤ Connect the cooler (see "Connecting the cooler" on page 37).
➤ Set the battery switch (fig. 4 2, page 4) to "BATTERY ON".
✓ The status LED lights up.
If the status LED flashes, the power supply is insufficient for
recharging.
If the status LED remains dark, no power supply is available.
✓ Battery mode is activated.
➤ Press the "ON/OFF" button (fig. 3 1, page 3) for one to
two seconds.
