19. This pump is made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials. It will provide trouble-free service for a long
time when properly installed, maintained, and used. However, inadequate electrical power to the pump, dirt,
or debris may cause the pump to fail. Please carefully read the manual and follow the instructions regarding
common pump problems and remedies.

PRE-INSTALLATION

APPLICATION
 This non-corrosive pump, with flow direction, is designed to pump water only.
 Never operate the pump for more than two hours at a time. Never run the pump dry!
This unit is not designed for applications involving salt water or brine! Use with salt water or brine will void the

warranty.
WARNING: Risk of fire or explosion. Can cause severe injury, property damage or death. Do not use in
explosive atmospheres. Do not pump flammable liquids.
DC MOTORS
DC motors must be connected to a fully charged automotive, tractor or marine type battery of the proper voltage.

INSTALLATION
1. Locate the pump as close to the water supply as possible (the shorter the distance the better the pump
performance).
WARNING: Risk of fire and explosion. Can cause severe injury, property damage or death. The motor is not
spark proof. Do not use in explosive atmospheres. Do not pump flammable liquids.
NOTE: Do not secure the pump in a position with the motor facing down. The motor is splash proof, but not
water proof.
2. Add water (approximately 1-2 Tbsp.) into the inlet to wet the pump impeller.
3. Attach the clear suction hose (C) to the suction strainer (B) by pushing the male threaded end into the rubber
coupler on the suction strainer. Then place the strainer in at least 1/2 in. of water at the lowest point to be
pumped.
NOTE: Make sure the connection is airtight. An air leak can cause the pump to run dry.
NOTE: Do not allow the inlet hose to lie in dirt or sand. This will cause rapid wear of the pump.
