20. Check the electrical power tool for
damage.
Before the electrical power tool is
used, carefully check the safety
equipment and any slightly damaged
parts to see that they are still working
properly. Check that all moving parts
on the tool are working properly, can
move freely and are not damaged. All
parts must be correctly attached and
fulfil all the requirements necessary
to allow the electrical power tool to
operate properly. Damaged safety
equipment and components must
be properly repaired or replaced at a
competent electrical equipment repair
centre unless otherwise indicated in
the operating instructions. Damaged
switches must be replaced at a
Customer Service Centre. Never use
an electrical power tool that cannot be
switched on and off properly.
21. CAUTION!
The use of inserted tools and
accessories other than those
recommended by the manufacturer
could lead to you being injured.
22. Have your electrical power tool
repaired at an electrical equipment
repair specialist.
This electrical power tool complies
with the relevant safety regulations.
Repairs may only be carried out by a
specialist electrical repair centre using
original spare parts, otherwise injury
could occur to the user.
Additional safety instructions
The relevant guidelines of the UVV
(Accident prevention regulations of
the professional associations) must be
observed when using the machine. Any
mechanical or electrical modification of the
machine, which does not correspond to
the valid guidelines, entails a substantial
Safety instructions
risk of accidents. The following points
must be observed during operation:
Do not remove mechanical or electrical
safety devices. The risk of injury
(e.g. by an electric shock) to the
user increases substantially, if the
safety devices have been removed or
damaged.
Therefore, check whether all safety
devices are attached and fastened
correctly.
If you have long hair protect it (hair net
or cap). Long hair can be caught easily
in rotating parts!
Wear close-fitting clothes; Close the
strap on jacket sleeves. Loose clothes
can be caught by the drill and result in
injuries
Always wear safety goggles or face
protection during work, in order to
protect your eyes against chips from
the work piece.
Never hold work pieces in your hand
when drilling. Always use a machine
vice or another clamping tool. You are
not able to hold work pieces safely by
hand! The work piece can deflect and
injure you.
Secure work pieces and clamping tools
on the drilling table against sudden
movements. Either fasten these with
screws or clamp them in a machine
vice mounted on the drilling table.
Work pieces, which are not fastened
securely can be deflected or hurled
away the device and injure you.
Check whether the drill chuck clamps
correctly. A drill bit, which is not
clamped firmly, can damage the work
piece or fling it out of the device and
injure you.
