4. Operation
4.13. Changing measurement units
The factory configuration is as follows:
Channel 1, pH+EC
Channel 2, ISE
To change units or to measure only one parameter with channel

instrument asks if the temperature from Channel 2 will be used.
4.14. Other measurements
pH measurement
pH can be measured with both Channel 1 and Channel 2, see
"Change of measurement units".
The pH measurement and measure re-programming is carried
out in accordance with the chapters on page 13. Additionally
two measuring limits (superior and inferior) can be programmed.
When the measured value is out of limits, there is an acoustic
warning, in the printed ticket appears "A" beside the measured
value. The calibration is performed according to the chapters on
page 9 and 11.

mV measurement
mV can be measured with both Channel 1 and Channel 2, see
"Change of measurement units".
The standard conditions for mV measurements are:
Measuring resolution: 1 mV/0.1 mV
Measuring mode: by stability, in continuous or by time. See
details in "Measure pH+EC", page 12.
Calibration: Several options, the standard is calibration with
redox standard 220 mV (25˚C, 77 ˚F).
To modify the measuring conditions or the calibration follow the
instrument's instruction.
EC (Electrical Conductivity) measurement
Conductivity can be measured only with Channel 1.
The possible units are:
- Electrical conductivity, uS/cm or mS/cm
- Resistivity,
- Salinity, mg/L or g/L
- TDS, mg/L or g/L
The measuring units are selected following the scheme "Change
of measuring units".
The EC measurement and measure re-programming is carried out
in accordance with the chapters on page 13. The calibration is
performed following the chapters on pages 10 and 11. If the units
are Salinity, the programming parameters are identical to EC.
If the units are TDS, additionally a TDS factor should be programmed.
The standard value is 0.64. If required the user can modify it.
Calibration
The calibration is performed with standard solutions independ-
ently on the measuring units EC, salinity or TDS. The calibration
"In a X value", (indirect calibration), is performed in the meas-
uring units.
