If necessary, remove ferromagnetic deposits (e. g. metal filings) from the
S
magnetically coded measuring tape aA. Even the low magnetic attraction force
of the measuring tape can cause metal dust to accumulate.
Recommendation:
Check the torsional backlash/bearing clearance every 2500 km.
S
The permissible tolerance must not be exceeded:
max. torsional backlash:
max. bearing clearance:
Replace the bearing cap if the torsional backlash/bearing clearance is too high

Warning
Hot surface temperatures (up to 70 °C in normal operation, over 100 °C when
there is a fault) can cause burns.
S Make sure that hot surfaces on the electric cylinder are not touched
unless the user is sufficiently protected against burning (e. g. by wearing
protective gloves).
Warning
Strong magnetic fields impair the functioning of electronic devices
(e. g. heart pacemakers).
S Always leave the linear motor fitted inside the DNCE−LAS.
Otherwise strong magnetic fields may occur.
S Always leave the housing of the linear motor mounted.
The screws in the housing must not be loosened.
Switch off the power supplies.
S
Recommendation: Return the product to our repair service for overhaul.
S
This ensures that the necessary fine adjustments and checks will be
carried out.
