TILLER SHAFT:
Remove the dust guards periodically (14 - fig. 2), clean the underlying area thoroughly, then replace.
Following these rules will help to keep all your rotovator's mechanical components in perfect working order.
USEFUL HINTS FOR PROPER USE:
1) Never leave the clutch disengaged for long periods.
2) Never leave the machine out in the rain.
3) Never force the gearbox if the gear does not engage; give light touches on the clutch when changing.
4) Never strain the engine: when a lot of smoke comes out of the exhaust the engine is toiling and must
be slowed down.
5) Even impossible ground can be tilled, but the machine must be well run-in first.
6) Never work at full throttle.
7) If the engine overheats on the first day, it must be stopped for a few minutes' rest.
8) Remove any leaves and grass from the grille around the engine pulley.
9) Keep the safety device clean and well oiled.
10) Under no circumstances must the machine be used without the safety device.
SPARES WE SUGGEST SHOULD BE KEPT ON HAND:

– 1 clutch cable
– 1 throttle grip
– 2 right-hand tiller blades with screws
– 2 left-hand tiller blades with screws

END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE:
Clean the machine carefully; change the engine and the gearbox oil. Sharpen and grease the blades,
replacing them if worn.
If parts have been broken and screws lost during the season, now is the time to restore everything to
perfect running order.
Never keep the machine in animal sheds or near chemical fertilizers, as this could cause certain parts to rust.
CAUTION: before fitting the tiller assemblies, ratchet hubs or wheel extensions to the tiller shaft (6 - fig.
1), check that the shaft and the inside of the accessory to be mounted are perfectly clean. After fitting the
accessory to the shaft, tighten the fixing screws thoroughly.
The tilling depth can be increased or reduced by lowering or raising the rear foot. Turn the tip of the foot
forward when working in hard, compacted ground; turn back when the soil is not very firm (fig. 8).
PLOUGHS
The ploughs designed for the rotovator Grillo 11500 have been especially developed to obtain good
ploughing without over-straining the operator. The models available are a single-share plough and a 180°
roll-over plough. The latter is especially suitable when working backwards and forwards, such as along
rows of vines or fruit-trees. The depth of the furrow obtained may vary from 10 to 15 cm depending on
the terrain.
