STARTING/STOPPING THE SAW

To start the saw:
Depress the lock-off button.
Depress the switch trigger.
Always let the blade reach full speed, then guide the
sawinto the workpiece.
LOCK-OFF BUTTON
If the blade comes in contact with the workpiecebefore it
reaches full speed, it could cause the sawto "kickback"
towards you, which could result inserious injury.
To stop the saw, release the switch trigger.After you
release the switch trigger, allow the blade to cometo a
complete stop. Do not remove the saw from theworkpiece
while the blade is moving.
DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTMENT
See Figure 11
Always keep correct blade depth setting. The correct

increase thechance of kickback and cause the cut to be

Remove the battery pack from saw.
Loosen the depth adjustment lever.
Hold the base flat against the workpiece and raise
orlower the saw until the required depth is reached.
Tighten the depth adjustment lever securely.
INDEXABLE LEVERS

The levers on the saw can be repositioned for the
besttightening position.
Pull the lever out from the saw and to desired position.
Push lever back in and down to lock into place.
Check to be sure the base is clamped securely.
