9. Maintenance
9.1In order to ensure trouble-free operation, the following points
must be observed:
1 Motor unit
■ Keep the chuck clean and well lubricated.
■ Keep the ventilation slots in the motor housing free of dirt and dust.
■ If the service indicator lights, the carbon brushes must be replaced as soon
as possible.
■ Check the system regularly for water leakage.
2 Carriage
■ The guide rollers require no maintenance.
■ Keep the motor unit mounting surface clean.
■ If movement is too easy, the guide rollers should be adjusted by a trained
specialist.
10. Warranty
Hilti warrants that the tool supplied is
free of defects in material and work-
manship. This warranty is valid so
long as the tool is operated and
handled correctly, cleaned and servi-
ced properly and in accordance with
the Hilti Operating Instructions, all
warranty claims are made within
6 months for the motor unit and
1 year for additional equipment and
accessories from the date of the sale
(invoice date), and the technical
system is maintained. This means
that only original Hilti consumables,
components and spare parts may be
used in the tool.

This warranty provides the free-of-
charge repair or replacement of defec-
tive parts only. Parts requiring repair or
replacement as a result of normal
wear and tear are not covered by this
warranty.
Additional claims are excluded,
unless stringent national rules pro-
hibit such exclusion. In particular,
Hilti is not obligated for direct, indi-
rect, incidental or consequential
damages, losses or expenses in
connection with, or by reason of,
the use of, or inability to use the tool
for any purpose. Implied warranties
3 Rails
■ Keep the rails clean
■ Internal tapers must be kept clean and lubricated
4 Baseplate
■ With the exception of the seals, the baseplates require no maintenance.

9.2 Wearing parts

■ Seals for the DD-BAV-10 and DD-BV-P vacuum baseplates
■ Sealing discs for the DD-WC-ML water collector
■ Sealing ring for the water collector

For repair or replacement, send tool
and/or related parts immediately upon
discovery of the defect to the address
of the local Hilti marketing organization

This constitutes Hilti's entire obligation
with regard to warranty and superse-
des all prior or contemporaneous
comments and oral or written agree-
ments concerning warranties.
