Description of Vacuboy, PlusVac 20, PlusVac 21 and PlusVac80
The vacuum packaging machines Vacuboy, PlusVac 20, PlusVac21 and
PlusVac 80 are manufactured to the tried and tested KOMET standard of quality,
made completely of stainless steel, fitted with an electronic control system and high-
performance vacuum pumps.
Vacuboy, PlusVac 20, PlusVac21 and PlusVac 80 are chamber machines, with
which vacuum-sealed, air-tight packages can be manufactured. Products, which
would be subject to unwanted change in the normal atmosphere, are protected by
means of vacuum packaging.
The filled vacuum bag is placed in the chamber with the opening flat on to the
sealing pad.
The vacuum time and the sealing time are set using a foil keyboard. The vacuum
procedure and the sealing procedure (double seal or sealing with a separating seal
as an option) take place automatically when the cover is closed and can be
monitored through the Plexiglas cover.
The vacuum pump creates low pressure in the chamber. When the set vacuum has
been reached, the bag is sealed. In the design with the option of sealing with a
separating seal, the projecting end of the bag can be separated.
The machines provide automatic cover opening upon completion of the packaging
procedure and the facility of permanently setting the cover in place.
To remove moisture from the pump a service-program can be used. In approx. 30
minutes it will warm up the pump and remove the condensed water from the oil.
In specially equipped machines there is a facility for gassing the chamber following
on from the evacuation procedure using a preservative (nitrogen N
CO
or N
–CO
mix). The preservative is blown into the vacuum bag via nozzles and

equalises with the external pressure. In this way pressure-sensitive products can be
packaged undamaged.
In the design with GreenVac connection a hose with a GreenVac fitting can be
connected to a snap-on connector on the machine. Standard GreenVac containers
can be evacuated using the GreenVac fitting. Chamber mode is disabled in
"GreenVac" operating mode.
