It is essential that you observe the following safety instructions! Additional
information in the other chapters is identified clearly by the corresponding symbols:

Meaning
Indicates an immediate danger to the life and
health of persons. Non-observance of these
instructions will have serious harmful
consequences to health and possible fatal
injuries.

injuries.
Indicates a possibly dangerous situation.
Non-observance of these instructions can lead
to slight injury or material damage.
Indicates a possibly harmful situation. Non-
observance can damage the machine or the
environment.
Indicates user tips and other particularly useful
information.
3.1

Dangers while working with the machine


The machines have been built according to the state-of-the-art and recognised
technical safety regulations. However, you may be exposed to risks, in particular
when safety regulations are not observed.

Immediately rectify any faults, which could affect safety!
3.2

Operating staff


Only properly trained personnel (more than 14 years old) are allowed to work on
the machine.

These persons must be familiar with the operating instructions and safety
regulations.
3.3

Safety and protective facilities


Before each service operation on the machine all protective devices must be
properly fitted and fully operational.
3.4

Dangers caused by electric power


Only have work carried out on the electric power supply by a licensed electrical
engineer.

Regularly check the electrical equipment on the machine.

Immediately remove any loose connections or scorched cable (only by licensed
electrical engineer).

Only use mains plugs, which are authorised for the voltage power supply
specified on the type label. In case of doubt, please consult your dealer or the
local Electric Utility Co.

Do not insert any objects into the ventilation slots of the machine. There is a
danger of electric shock.

Spraying water and steam jets in the operating site is forbidden. There is a
danger of electric shock.
