12. Using the phone

How to answer a phone call.
When the mobile phone that is paired with the helmet receives an incoming
call, you will hear warning tones in the helmet (some mobile phones reproduce
their own ringing tone directly on the SCS system). Just press the ON button
(short press) to answer the call. A medium press of the ON button refuses the
call (see tables). If the intercom communication is active, it is temporarily inter-
rupted during the call and then restored automatically.
If you set the phone on automatic answer, then no operation is necessary to
answer an incoming call.
To end the call, press the ON button (short press).
How to make a phone call.
The phone has to be connected to the helmet to make a call.
You can make the phone call as usual using the keypad of your phone.
For some mobile phones (please see the site www.suomy.com), you can also
make a phone call in the following two ways:
• last number called: press simultaneously (short press) the ON and
buttons
• voice call: simultaneously press the ON and
then follow the instructions of your phone to continue.
CAUTION: Respect the Highway Code. Never use your phone when driving.
To make a call, stop your bike in a suitable place and start driving again only
after ending the call.
