The following points must be checked before the initial start-up:
• Check the installation.
• All terminals must be retightened.
• Motor protection correctly set.
• The separate HAND-0-AUTO switch for each pump must
be set to "AUTO (A)". The factory setting for these is
"0 (OFF)"!
Switching on
1. Turn main switch to ON position.
2. The display lights up and outputs the latest information.
The display appearance changes depending on the signal
transmitter connected:
3. The "Standby" symbol appears and the switchgear is ready
for operation. You can now set the individual operating
parameters.
NOTE
If the red fault LED lights up or fl ashes immediately
after activation, observe the error code information
on the display!

Setting the operating parameters

The menu is divided into seven areas:
1. Control parameters (operating mode, start/stop delays)
2. Communication parameters (fi eld bus)
3. Pump activation (activation and deactivation of the con-
nected pumps)
4. Display of parameters currently set as well as data for the
switchgear (type, serial number etc.)
5. Basic settings for the switchgear
6. Fault memory
7. Service menu (can only be activated by Salmson customer
service)
The menu structure is adapted automatically based on the signal
transmitters used. Menu 1.2.2.0 is only visible for instance if a lev-
el sensor is connected and activated accordingly in the menu.

6.4.1. Menu structure

1. Start the menu by pressing the operating knob for 3 sec.
2. Choose the selected menu: Easy or Expert.
3. Follow the menu structure below for the desired value and
change this according to your specifi cations.
