Troubleshooting and possible solutions

DANGER due to electrical voltage
Improper procedures during electrical work may
result in fatal injuries caused by electrical voltage!
Such work may only be carried out by a qualifi ed
electrician.
Possible faults are displayed for 30 seconds on the display using
an alphanumeric code. According to the fault shown, the con-
nected pump or signal transmitter must be checked for correct
operation and replaced if necessary.
Only perform this work if suitably qualifi ed personnel are available.
Electrical work must be carried out by qualifi ed electricians for
instance.
We recommend always having this work carried out by Salmson
Customer Service.
Unsanctioned modifi cations to the switchgear are made at the
operator's own risk and release the manufacturer from any war-
ranty obligations.

10.1. Fault indication

Overview of symbols:
E06
Error code

Faults are displayed in various ways:
• When a fault occurs, the red collective fault signal LED
lights up and the collective fault signal is activated.
The error code is displayed for 30 s on the display. There-
after the error code can be read from the fault memory.
• Faults that only lead to switching operations once a set
time has elapsed are indicated by a fl ashing fault alarm
LED. The error code is displayed for 30 s on the display.
Thereafter the error code can be read from the fault
memory.
• Self-acknowledging faults such as dry run, high water, etc.
are displayed by a fl ashing fault signal on the main screen
and can be read in the fault memory.
• A fault on one of the connected pumps is indicated on the
main screen by a fl ashing status symbol for the corre-
sponding pump.

10.2. Fault acknowledgement

Acknowledgement of the individual errors is via the menu.
Select menu 6.0.0.0.
Select menu 6.1.0.0 and press the operating
knob --> the error symbol fl ashes.
Turn the operating knob once to the right.
The error symbol appears marked "reset" and
fl ashes.
Press the operating knob. All faults eliminated
are acknowledged and the fault LED goes out.
If the fault LED continues to be lit or fl ashes, not all errors have
been eliminated. Check the individual errors in the fault memory,
eliminate these and reacknowledge these faults.

10.3. Fault memory

The switchgear stores the last 16 errors in the fault memory.
The log uses the FiFo principle (First in/First out).
1. Select menu 6.0.0.0.
2. Select menu 6.1.0.0.
3. Select menu 6.1.0.1.
4. The last fault appears.
5. Turn the operating knob to the right. You will then scroll
through the fault memory (6.1.0.1 to 6.1.0.16).
