CAUTION

If the problem cannot be solved, contact your equipment supplier or ResMed. Do
not attempt to open the S8 Compact case. There are no user serviceable parts
inside. Repairs and internal servicing should only be performed by an authorized
service agent.
Problem
No display.
Treatment pressure
seems low.
Excessive air delivered
from the S8 Compact.
Possible Cause
Power is not connected.
Ramp Time is in use.
Air filter is dirty.
Air tubing is kinked or
punctured.
Air tubing is not connected
properly.
Mask and headgear are not
positioned correctly.
Caps are missing from access
port on mask.
Altitude compensation setting is
incorrect.
Pressure required for treatment
may have changed.
Altitude compensation setting is
incorrect.
Solution
Ensure the power cable is
connected and the power
switch (if available) is on.
Wait for air pressure to build
up or change ramp time.
Replace air filter.
Straighten or replace tubing.
Check air tubing.
Adjust position of mask and
headgear.
Replace caps.
Adjust altitude
compensation setting to the
correct altitude range.
Calibrate pressure.
Adjust altitude
compensation setting to the
correct altitude range.
