Troubleshooting
Should your AL-KO support system suddenly not function, please proceed as follows:
The unit is not working at all:
Check that the battery disconnection switch (1) is switched on.
Check the cable connection between the caravan battery and the control unit.
Check the fuse (20 A) in the red positive battery cable (9). If the fuse is faulty, it must be replaced with
a fuse of the same strength (20 A). Never bridge the fuse (contact your AL-KO supplier if necessary). To
change the fuse, the power supply to the control unit must first be interrupted. Disconnect the positive cable
of the power supply from the control unit. Only now should you loosen the screws holding the fuse in place
(9A), then replace the fuse (9B) and tighten the screws (9A) again securely. Close the housing on the fuse
again. Finally, the positive cable can be reconnected to the control unit.
Check the battery in your remote control. If it is flat, replace the 9 V battery.
The caravan battery could be flat. If it is, recharge it fully first.
The caravan battery could be overloaded. Try to discharge the battery a little with an additional consumer
(light or some other 12 V load). Should the unit still not function, replace the battery before taking any further
measures.
Ensure that the distance between the remote control and the caravan is no more than 5 metres. If there is
no connection between the remote control and the control unit, the AL-KO support system will not function
and the green LED on the remote control will flash.
Check if there is any interference (other transmitters, high-power cables, Wi-Fi, etc.) that may be interrupting
good communication between the remote control and the control unit. If there is interference, the AL-KO
support system will not function and the green LED on the remote control will flash.
Generally speaking, all error messages are reset automatically after one minute. If this is not the case, turn off
the main switch (battery disconnection switch) or slider switch on the remote control for at least 15 seconds
and then turn on again.
Unit is not functioning or is running intermittently:
Check the battery in the remote control. If it is flat, replace the 9 V battery.
The caravan battery could be flat. If it is, recharge it fully first.
The caravan battery could be too old or defective. Check the voltage during operation. If it drops below 10
V, charge or replace the battery.
The caravan battery could be overloaded. Try to discharge the battery a little with an additional consumer
(light or some other 12 V load). Should the unit still not function, replace the battery before taking any further
measures.
Check the cable connection between the caravan battery and the control unit.
Poor connections or corroded battery connections can cause interruptions. Check the connections, clean
them and reconnect them.

The spindle does not move, the motor runs without load:
Motor or gearbox defective or the connection between motor and spindle is defective. Contact your AL-KO
supplier.
In the event of other question, contact your AL-KO support system supplier.
