To measure sag, install a zip tie on the upper tube so that it is flush against the Resi-wiper seal; sit on the bike
with normal riding apparel; then step off your bike and measure the bottom of the zip tie to the top of the wiper.
This measurement is the amount of sag. For example, heavier, more aggressive riders need more pressure to
maintain proper ride height and allow more of the fork's travel to be used during bump impact.

PRING
Do the following to change the main air spring pressure:
1. Clean the top cap of mud and debris.
2. Unscrew the small cap with your fingers, being careful not to misplace the cap.
3. Using the RockShox air pump with the SID adapter, screw the pump/adapter into
the top cap (Fig. 4).

Volume tuning spacers may be added to the top caps to increase the progressiveness of the main spring.
Increasing the progression in the main air spring results in less fork bottom out through big bumps. You may
purchase volume spacers as an aftermarket kit through your local RockShox dealer or call Rockshox direct.
A list of phone numbers is on page 21.

MAIN AIR SPRING PRESSURE BEFORE REMOVING THE TOP CAP
Do the following to adjust the progressiveness of the main air spring:
1. Discharge the air in the negative air spring and then in the
main spring.
2. Remove the top cap using a 22mm wrench or socket.
3. Press the base volume spacer into the bottom of the top cap.
4. To add volume spacers, snap a volume spacer into the bottom of
the base spacer (Fig. 6)
5. To remove a volume spacer, insert a flat end screwdriver and pry spacer until it comes free.
6. Inspect the o-ring on the top cap for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
7. Re-install the top cap assembly and pump air back into the main and negative air spring chambers by
following the "Air Spring Adjustment" instructions.

UNING
The cartridge is adjustable for both rebound and compression. With a single external adjustment knob
located on the bottom of the fork, the cartridge adjusts independently for compression and rebound. While
pushing the knob in (default position) the rebound can be increased by turning the knob clockwise and
reduced by turning the knob counter-clockwise. Compression is adjusted by pulling the knob outward until the
detent is felt and then increased by turning the knob clockwise or reduced by turning the knob counter-clockwise.
