Preparation for use

Safety instructions for mounting and installation

ATTENTION
For proper functioning of the multi-point lock, the residual ripple of the
power supply must not exceed 100 mVpp.
ATTENTION
Junction boxes should be accessible for maintenance work.
Cable types, lengths, and cross sections must conform to the specifications.
As the cable duct to the cable guide from the door leaf into the door frame,
we recommend hidden cable ducts or the cableless electrical conductor
SECUREconnect from the GU-BKS product range.

Mounting

Requirements
„ „ Before installation of the multi-point lock in the door leaf, make all
fastening holes and passages for hardware, door closers, etc.
„ „ Install the cable so that it cannot be damaged. The cable must not touch
the connecting rods!
„ „ Install hardware with a mechanism to hold them up if lever handles are
to be monitored.
Connect only high-quality power supply units to
the multi-point lock!
Low-quality power supply units can cause problems
in operation.
Do not crimp or damage the cables!
Make sure that the cables are laid and the electrical
connection of the multi-point lock is made with the
plug connection in such a way that the cables can-
not be crimped or damaged in the area of the lock
or faceplate during installation.
