Gas Requirements
Instant Electronic Ignition System
To light and shut down Instant Electronic Ignition
system:
1. Remove access panel.
2. Turn gas shut-off valve to open position
(handle should be parallel with the gas line).
Refer to Figure 15.
3. Replace access panel.
4. Start tumbler in drying cycle. Spark igniter will
begin high intensity sparking as the gas valve
simultaneously opens. The gas burner(s) are
ignited by the sparking igniter. Igniter will shut
off, and burner(s) will remain on as long as the
temperature control calls for heat.
5. Opening the tumbler door will cause flame to
extinguish. Closing door and starting tumbler
will restart ignition cycle.

IMPORTANT: The Instant Electronic Ignition
system will attempt to light the gas by sparking for
approximately 15 seconds. If gas ignition does not
take place within 15 seconds the Instant Electronic
Ignition control will go into safety lockout and the
valve will no longer open until the Instant
Electronic Ignition control is reset. To reset Instant
Electronic Ignition control, remove power from
control by opening and closing the loading door. If
condition persists, check that the gas shut-off valve
is in open position and that the gas service is
properly connected. If condition still persists,
remove tumbler from service.
6. To remove tumbler from service, disconnect
electrical service, and turn gas shut-off valve to
closed position (handle should be at right angle to
the gas line).
