Start-up
The start-up prerequisite is that the hands-free system must have been installed in accordance with the
accompanying installation instructions.
When you first switch on after completing the installation you will have to select the language that you
want to see displayed on the screen and for the hands-free system's voice control. The selected
language settings can be modified via the Settings menu later on  More > Settings > Unit > Language.
ATTENTION!
Government departments and other recognized organisations advise that scientific data
indicates that it cannot be proven that mobile phones are completely safe. Some studies
indicate that mobile phones may have harmful effects on peoples' health. It is agreed,
however, that further research is required. As long as no unambiguous results are available,
possible health risks must be avoided. The following must be taken into consideration as
incorrect use of mobile phones inside a vehicle can lead to long-term health problems for the
vehicle's occupants:
Use of a mobile phone inside the vehicle that is not connected to the vehicle's exterior
telephone aerial, represents a health risk for you and the vehicle's passengers because the
electromagnetic radiation produced by the mobile phone may exceed the valid limits.
Never leave a mobile phone on a seat, on the dashboard or in any location from which it
could be flung away as the result of sudden braking, an accident or a collision. This could
result in one of the vehicle occupants being injured.
Your attention should always be mainly focussed on the surrounding traffic! Only use the
hands-free unit when traffic conditions permit.
Telephone calls cannot be made in areas without or having extremely poor mobile telephone
network coverage and under conditions as those found in tunnels, garages and underpasses.
Set the volume so that external acoustic signals, e.g. police and fire service klaxons, are
clearly audible at all times.

Touchscreen

The unit's screen is a so-called touchscreen and is therefore a contact sensitive screen. The display and
contents change depending on the menu and the selected language (see
