WARNING: Disconnect power and release all pressure from the system before attempting to install, service, relocate or
perform any maintenance.
DRAINING THE PUMP
Drain openings are provided on all models. To drain the pump:

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause
Pump does 1. Switch off
not start or run 2. Blown fuse or tripped breaker
3. Pressure switch contacts are dirty
4. Wires at motor are loose or wiring incorrectly
Pump will not 1. Improper priming or air trapped in the pipe
prime
2.Air leak
3.Water level below suction pipe inlet
4. Foot valve is plugged or leaks
Pump operates 1. Foot valve is buried in sand or mud
but pumps little or 2. Ejector or impeller is plugged
no water 3. Foot valve or inlet strainer clogged
4. Water level below maximum lift specification
5. Improper voltage
6. Pressure regulator set-up improperly
1. Remove drain plug (see left photo. located on
the side of pump) and air plug (located on the
top of the pump close to the outlet hole) to vent
the system.
2. Drain all piping to a point below the freeze
line.
NOTE: While this will drain the pump, it will not
necessarily drain all the unprotected parts of the
piping system. To drain tank, disconnect the
piping at the tank outlet.
Corrective Action
1. Turn power switch on
2. Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker
3. DISCONNET THE POWER. File or clean
the switch contacts
4. DISCONNECT THE POWER.
Following wiring instructions check and
tighten wires.
1. DISCONNECT THE POWER. Adjust pump
height and make the pipe slope down to the
well. Remove the discharge tee and re-prime
2. Check all connections and fix the leakage.
3. Lower suction pipe. If the water level is
more than 25ft, use deep well installation.
4. Clean or replace foot valve
1. Lift the suction pipe
2. Clean the ejector or impeller
3. Clean or replace as necessary
4. Select a convertible jet pump
5. Check voltage switch
6. Readjust the pressure regulator
