• Winter: protects the child against contact with the air du-
ring the cold seasons (diag. 3 B)
WARNING: always check that the cover is fastened correct-
ly with both zips closed and that the flap is fastened with
the buttons in one of the two positions available.
WARNING: It is recommended to air the carrycot when it
has been used for a long time.
CARRYCOT HANDLES
4. The carrycot is fitted with carrier handles.
WARNING: It is recommended that the carrycot be carried
by one person at a time, to prevent loss of balance.
WARNING: Do not carry the carrycot as seen in diagram 4.
WARNING: When the handles are not used during tran-
sportation, fasten them to the walls of the carrycot using
the fixtures on each side.
FASTENING THE CARRYCOT TO THE STROLLER
WARNING: this carrycot can ONLY be used as a pram when
assembled on the Chicco POLAR stroller. Do not use with
other brands or models. Please read the Stroller instruction
manual when using the carrycot on the stroller.
It is highly recommended to read both the stroller and car-
rycot instruction manuals before attempting to fasten or
remove the carrycot from the stroller.
5. Open the stroller on a flat surface, apply the brakes and
recline the backrest until it is completely flat; adjust the leg
rest to a horizontal position, as seen in diagram 6. Remove
the bumper bar from the seat if used.
6. Position the carrycot on the stroller so that the child's
feet inside the carrycot correspond to the position of the
stroller leg rest, as seen in diagram 6.
The seat is also reversible and can be used to carry your
baby in parent-facing or front-facing mode, as illustrated in
the stroller instruction manual (the stroller hood can also
be used when the carrycot is assembled).
WARNING: Do not change the direction of the reversible
seat with the child inside the carrycot.
7. Connect the buckled strap found on the foot end of the
carrycot around the leg rest tubes, as seen in diagram 7.
Adjust the length of the strap until it is fixed securely to the
stroller frame
8. Now connect the buckled strap found on the head end
of the carrycot around the stroller back rest, threading the
buckles through the fabric slots on the side of the backrest,
as seen in diagram 8a. Adjust the length of the strap until it
is fixed securely to the stroller frame (diag. 8b)
WARNING: before using the product, check that the carry-
cot is securely fastened to the stroller, ensuring the buckled
straps are correctly fastened around the stroller seat.
Pull the carrycot upwards to check it is securely fastened
in place.
TO REMOVE THE CARRYCOT FROM THE STROLLER
Before removing the carrycot from the stroller, start by re-
leasing the carrier straps.
To release the carrycot, open the fabric strap buckles refer-
red to earlier in sections 7 and 8 and use the two carrier
straps to lift the carrycot out of the stroller.
FASTENER MECHANISM
9. When not in use, the stroller carrycot fastener straps can
be folded neatly away inside the two fabric flaps, as seen in
diagram 9.
WARNING: the carrycot can be fastened and unfastened
with the baby inside; these procedures could prove more
difficult due to the weight of the baby. Be very careful when
performing the above indicated procedures, checking that
the surface is level and the brakes are on.
