BRC1T USER INTERFACE
The digital display is a system that provides alphanumeric indications for the real-time
monitoring of the machine status.
It consists of a central control unit that communicates with the machine via a cable se-
rial link.
The control unit is used for configuring the values of the speed (common to all the heads)
and target meter counts (common to all the heads or separate for each individual head)
as well as providing indications such as the metres wound per head or per machine, and
the production and efficiency values per head and per machine.
It is possible to deactivate the metre-counter for the whole machine or for a single head
by setting zero metres; the target metre counts are only available if the metre-counter
has been purchased (refer to the relative manual for instructions for use).
- On each screen, an arrow shaped cursor on the left side of the menus points to the menu
on which it is possible to operate.
- To access the submenus, press the "up" and "down" arrow keys coinciding with the
cursor.
- To navigate within a menu, use the "up" and "down" arrow keys.
- To change a setting, first press the "ENTER" key so that cursor symbol becomes a curly
bracket; at this point it is possible to vary the parameter using the "up" and "down"
arrow keys, and then confirming the new value by pressing "ENTER"; the cursor will
change back to an arrow, signalling that the changes have been saved.
Next to the indicator lights on the machine's electrical control unit, there is a two-posi-
tion key-switch.
In position 1, editing of all the machine parameters is enabled, whereas in position 2 the
parameters are read-only.

Set the speed for all heads in metres on the display (7 fig. 9) with the "+/-" buttons (6 fig. 9).
Set the electronic anti-ribboning device with its button (8 fig.9). The setting can be read
off leds 1 and 2: cone acceleration interval 8" (led 1 on) or 16" (led 2 on); off if both leds
are off.
This enables you to avoid banding by setting 1-2-0 depending on the slipperiness of the
yarn and whether the yarn count is coarse or fine.
To make the selection, press the yellow button on the display board. The display board
can be calibrated as needed to vary the settings for special needs. To program the
system, hold down the + and – buttons (6 fig.9) together for 4-5 seconds. As soon as the
displays start flashing (7 fig.9) press the yellow button (8 fig.9). Every time you press it,
a new message will display (maximum speed, minimum speed, 1-1-1 synchronisation,
2-2-2 synchronisation). Use the + and – buttons (6 fig.9) to set the functions as desired. In
regard to synchronization, the first 1 or 2 indicates the frequency in seconds, the second 1
or 2 the acceleration period, and the third 1 or 2 the acceleration percentage. After making
the settings, press the yellow button repeatedly until the maximum speed (1200 metres)
displays; now hold down the + and – buttons (6 fig.9) together for 4-5 seconds to store
the new settings. take care not to over synchronise as this can lead to yarn drops. Use a
low synchronization at high speeds and a higher one at lower speeds.
