Note: If the armature slips out of place during this operation, do not attempt to force it back in place as the brushes will have dropped out of
position. Take or send the tool to the nearest authorized service station for proper reassembly.
Use approximately one half to one ounce of IR #100 impactool grease (compounded specifically for Impact Service). Spread the lubricant
over the jaws of the hammer mechanism, the cam balls, and the bearing surfaces. Over lubricating can cause sluggish operation of the Impact
mechanism especially in cold weather. Do not apply lubricant to the cylindrical surface of the hammer as this is not a bearing surface.
All other maintenance, service or repair of your impactool must be performed by an authorized service representative.
Important: Use only accessories and attachments made specifically for use with powered impact wrenches. The use of accessories and
attachments made for hand wrenches could create a serious hazard.
Consult the product service department if there are questions concerning use of accessories and attachments.
