Format:
Formatting erases all the data from the card. An addi-
tional prompt appears on the screen to avoid making
a wrong selection.
Select YES for format and NO for cancel. Confirm with
the OK button.
Default Setup:
You can reset all monitor settings to the default settings.
Again, a security prompt appears on the screen. Select
YES for reset and NO for cancel. Confirm with the OK
button.
Recorder Setting:
Pps (photos per second), Time stamp on/off, Default
video or photos.
The setting of the frame rate per second determines
the quality of the video. The more frames per second
are recorded, the better and smoother the reproduction.
However, more memory is used up at a higher frame
rate.
Time stamp:
In many cases it is useful to record the date and time
of a recording. This serves for keeping your own docu-
mentation and later processing of the photos and
videos. The date and time of the recording is displayed
during later viewing on the computer when the time
stamp is switched on.
Select time stamp YES or time stamp NO with the
keys.
Recording Type:
Define the monitor default: Video or static images
(photos)
Date/time:
The date and time must be set first to make sure that
the time stamp in the video and on the photo show the
correct time and date. The date must be entered in the
order year / month / day.
Change between the digits with the OK button. Set the
value with the
button.
Playback:
Select this menu item when you want to start playback on the monitor.

2.4. Connecting to a Computer

As soon as you connect the controller to the computer with the USB cable, it
is set up as a removable data medium. An appropriate icon is displayed in the
computer. The hardware installation may take several minutes depending on
the operating system and the computer speed. When the device has been set
up on the computer you can copy and erase the videos and photos as with a
hard disk.
3. Operation
3.1. Handheld Unit
Switch on the handheld unit (5) by turning the on/off thumbwheel (4). The
Power-LED (6) lights red.
Attention: Do not kink the camera cable. The smallest permissible inside radius
of the camera cable is 11 cm!

3.2. Controller Unit

The controller unit is also used as a video recorder. You can save photos and
videos on the MicroSD card. The internal memory cannot be used for record-
ings.
Switch on the controller unit (7) with the on/off button (8). The on indicator (18)
lights green. Set the suitable brightness of the LEDs in the camera head with
the wheel (4). Set channel 4 (CH4) for the transmission. To switch off, keep the
on/off button pressed until the hourglass appears.
If the controller unit (7) is fixed to the handheld unit (5), the signal transmission
takes place via the contact pins on the controller unit and on the handheld unit.
Transmission switches over to radio signal transmission as soon as you remove
the controller unit from the handheld unit. The range between the controller
unit and the handheld unit is usually up to 5 m. In some cases a range up to
10 m is possible depending on the ambient influences.
