9.1 Troubleshooting
Trouble or fault
The power tool
doesn't run.
The power tool
doesn't work and all
four LEDs blink.
The power tool
doesn't work and
one LED flashes.
The on/off button
can't be pressed, i.e.
the button is locked.
No hammering ac-
tion.
The battery runs
down more quickly
than usual.
The battery doesn't
engage with an audi-
ble double click.
The tool or battery
gets very hot.

Possible cause
The battery is not fully
inserted.
The battery is
discharged.
The power tool has been
overloaded briefly.
The overheating cut-out
has been activated.
The battery is
discharged.
The battery is too hot or
too cold.
The forward/reverse
selector switch is in the
middle position.
The operating mode is
not set correctly at the
selector ring.
Very low ambient tem-
perature.
The retaining lugs on the
battery are dirty.
The tool is overloaded
(application limits ex-
ceeded).

Action to be taken
▶ Insert the battery.

▶ Charge the battery.

▶ Release the control
switch and then press
it again.
▶ Allow the power tool
to cool down. Clean
the air vents.

the recommended op-
erating temperature.

battery in until it

problem persists.

product before using

ity for the job on hand.
