Troubleshooting
Problem:
The machine performs a double cut.
Note: A double action cut occurs when the screw in the cutter actuating pin is not properly adjusted. This screw controls
the amount of pressure on the cutter. The lever is pulled forward to make a cut and on its return, the first piece of tape is
cut. However, the lever jumps again causing another smaller piece of tape to be cut. This action occurs most often when
dispensing long lengths of tape, especially lightweight tape.
Possible Cause:
1. Check the screw in the cutter actuating pin. Is the
screw set within 7/16" (11 mm) to 1/2" (12 mm)
from the main shaft assembly.

Solution:
1. The screw in the cutter actuating pin must be
adjusted. Using an allen wrench, turn the pin
counterclockwise 1 or 2 turns. The normal setting of
the pin is 7/16" (1 mm) to 1/2" (12 mm) from the
end of the pin to the outside of the shaft (see Figure
L).
