On the 5HT-H-5 and the 5HT/E-H-5 models with heaters, the thermostats are preset at
120° F (49°C), which is the correct setting for normal operation. If you are using a heavy
tape or operating the machine in a cold environment, set the water temperature slightly
higher. If you are using lighter tape, set the temperature lower.
To change the water temperature see Figure E and follow the steps below.
1. Turn the power switch off and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the water bottle.
3. Unhook the water regulator from the sideplate.
4. Remove the brush tank (with the hose and regulator attached) by releasing the clip
holding the tank.
Caution! The water in the tank and the exposed brush tank post may be hot.
5. Remove the brush from the brush tank.
6. Carefully pour the water out of the tank, the hose and the regulator.
