The feed wheel is the serrated wheel which feeds the tape through the machine. The
tape passes over this wheel.
To clean the bearings located at each end of the feed wheel shaft, see Figure J and
follow the steps below.
1. Turn the machine off and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the cover weight.
3. Remove the brush tank assembly.
4. The cutter assembly is now visible. Remove the two top mounting screws which
attach the cutter assembly to the machine.
5. You will now see two spaces on either side of the tape channel. Apply grease to the
inside of the bearings by reaching between these spaces. Marsh suggests using Dow
Corning 1292 Long Life Bearing Grease.
6. Replace the cutter assembly by replacing the mounting screws.
