7. Taking your fi rst shots
7.1. Setting shooting mode
When the camera is switched on, shooting mode is enabled au-
tomatically. If playback mode is enabled instead of shooting
mode, press the mode button M.
7.2. Tips for taking good shots

Try to avoid moving the camera when you press the shutter
release. Do not move the camera directly after pressing the
shutter release. Wait until the preview image appears in the
display.

View the subject on the display before pressing the shutter
release.
•
Check the angle if the subject is lit from behind. Change your
position to reduce the background lighting.
•
In order to create good video clips, pan the camera slow-
ly. If you pan too quickly, the video pictures will be fuzzy and
blurred.
