Dräger performs complete overhauls on test devices in order to
ensure the availability of test devices and support the workflow
in respiratory protection workshops. Test devices may be
subject to different wear due to the differing use of the test
devices, however Dräger recommends a complete overhaul
after no more than six years.

Charge rechargeable battery

Only charge the test device at temperatures between 5 °C and
40 °C. Avoid sunlight. The test device stops charging at
extremely high or low temperatures.
Charging the battery at the mains:
1. Connect the power supply unit to the mains (100 to
240 V AC).
2. Plug the jack into the device's charging port.
Charging the battery in a vehicle:
1. Insert the vehicle connection cable into the cigarette lighter
socket.
2. Plug the jack into the device's charging port.
The message "Charging" appears in the display. The charge
status display also periodically switches from an empty to full
charge status. The test device can be switched on and used
during charging. The battery continues to be charged.
A flat battery is completely recharged in about 6 to 8 hours.
The message "Charging complete" appears in the display.
If the device is not used for an extended period, charge the
battery to at least 50 % every 6 months, as otherwise there is
a risk of a reduction in the service life.
7
Transportation
Only transport the test device when it is switched off. The test
device may not be used during transportation in a vehicle.
8
Storage
Protect the test device against coarse contamination and
exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Store the test device in a dry place. Do not expose to direct
sunlight and temperatures above 60 °C.
