8. Play Mode
Risk of injury!
To avoid the risk of injury, you must always
convert the tricycle for play mode (see Con-
verting to Play Mode, page 25).
You will need to make a few adjustments to
enable play mode:
z Detach carrier net
z Remove push-bar
z Remove footrests
(see separate assembly instructions)
z Release steering lock
z Set freewheeling
Detaching Carrier Net
Risk of injury!
To avoid injury, you must remove the carrier
net before the tricycle is used in play mode.
You can either simple detach the carrier net
from the storage tray or remove both from the
tricycle without detaching the carrier net from
the tray.
z To remove, pull the rear edge of the tray
sharply and firmly upwards. The tray de-
taches from the rear axle and from the hook
under the seat.
z Detach the carrier net by pulling it from the
edge of the tray.
Removing Push-Bar
Risk of injury!
To avoid injury, you must remove the push-bar
before the tricycle is used in play mode.
z Release the red lever under the seat
(Fig. 37, A).
z Press in the snap-in stud at the bottom of
the push-bar (Fig. 37, B) and pull the push-
bar upwards out of the holder.
z Completely push down the red lever under
the seat.
For easy storage, you can push the push-bar
together and completely fold down the handle.
Please refer to Fitting Push-Bar, page 19,
for instructions on how to re-attach the push-
bar.
Releasing Steering Lock
Caution!
Do not turn the handlebars with force while the
steering is locked! Extreme forces produced by
the lever effect of the handlebars may irrepara-
bly damage the lock.
z Turn the toggle on the right-hand side above
the front wheel as far as it will go in anti-
clockwise direction (Fig. 38, A).
The arrow mark is now at the bottom. The
steering is now released.
