hazard.
■ The "F" label indicates that the com-
pressed air supply tube can be used
in situations in which flammability can
be a hazard.
■ The breathing protection system is
intended for connection to stationary
compressed air supply systems.
■ The water content of the breathing
air should be kept within the limits
of EN 12021 to avoid freezing of the
devices.
2.4. Safety instructions for
breathing protection
hood
■ The breathing protection hood is not
a head protection in accordance with
AS/NZS 1801.
■ Do not use in confined spaces,
oxygen-poor environment (<19.5%),
with oxygen-enriched environment (>
23%) or in places where there is an
immediate danger to life and health.
■ Do not use the breathing protection
hood in a surrounding atmosphere
with a 100-fold MAK-value.
■ Store the unused breathing protection
hood in a clean, dry location.
■ Do not store the breathing protection
hood together with protective suits.
■ Do not make changes to the breath-
ing protection hood.
■ Only use the breathing protection
hood with correctly mounted visor foil.
■ In case of a very high work load, a
negative pressure can be generated
within the devices with a maximum
inhalation frequency.
2.5. Safety instructions
Air regulator
■ Only connect air regulator to com-
pressed air safety tube.
108
■ Use quick-action safety couplings.
■ Do not use air regulator as a tool.
■ Do not disassemble air regulator.
■ Exchange/do not use defective air
regulators.
■ Have defective air regulators repaired
by SATA.
■ Manipulations of the air volume flow
controller are prohibited.
2.6. Safety instructions
Carrying strap
■ Do not use carrying strap for securing
purposes.
■ Avoid constrictions on the body.
■ Do not use as a carrying aid.
■ Only use in connection with suitable
SATA module parts.

Safety features

■ Acoustic warning feature on breathing
protection hood ATTENTION: If the
air volume flow drops below 150 Nl/
min, an acoustic warning signal will
sound in the breathing protection
hood to indicate that the air volume
is too low for a sufficient protection
function. Increase the operational
over-pressure immediately or open
the regulation valve until the whistling
sound is no longer heard. If this is
not possible, take off the breathing
protection hood immediately and
leave the hazardous area and check
the air supply system or the breathing
protection device.
■ Using hearing protection and
noise-reducing communication equip-
ment can impair the audibility of the
warning facility.
■ Safety quick-action couplings.
