4. Pump Mode Overview (Continuous vs. Interval)

The Compat Ella portable enteral feeding pump has two operational modes: Continuous and Interval.

Continuous Mode

Continuous mode is used to deliver tube feed at defined rates, with or without a volume limit.
Interval Mode
Interval mode allows a defined bolus to be delivered multiple times during the day at programmed intervals, with or without a total volume limit. An Interval
is the time from the start of one bolus to the start of the next bolus.
Switch Between Continuous and Interval Modes
Button Direction / Result
To change between operating modes, press and hold
A specific icon shows that Interval mode is activated.
A message will appear confirming activation or de-activation.
