Always wear:

Hearing protection to minimise the risk of hearing
impairment.

Sturdy, non-slip boots or shoes. Do not wear sandals
or go barefoot.
•
Heavy, long pants. Do not wear shorts.
Wear gloves when required, for example when fitting,
inspecting or cleaning the cutting equipment.
WARNING! Use approved hearing
protection. Long term exposure to noise can
result in permanent hearing impairment.
Safety devices on the product
This section describes the safety devices on the
product, their purpose, and how checks should be
carried out to ensure that the safety devices operate
correctly.
WARNING! Never use a product with faulty
safety devices. The safety devices must be
checked as described in this section. If the
product fails any of these checks, contact
your Husqvarna service agent to get it
repaired.
Cutting cover
The cutting cover is designed to reduce vibration and to
reduce the risk of cuts.
•
Check the cutting cover for damage. Make sure that
there are no visible defects such as cracks.
Motor brake handle
The motor brake is designed to stop the motor. Make
sure that the motor stops when the motor brake handle
is released.
•
To check the motor brake, start the motor according
to the starting instructions, see
and then release the motor brake handle. Make sure
that the motor stops when the motor brake handle is
released.
•
The motor brake is adjusted to stop the motor within
3 seconds. If the motor does not stop within 3
seconds, contact your authorized Husqvarna service
agent.

Removable safety key (models LC 141VLi and LC
141Li)
The safety key is located under the battery lid, next to
the battery. The safety key is used to activate the
battery, which powers the motor.

Start inhibitor
The start inhibitor prevents unintentional start of the
product by stopping the handle from activating the
motor.
•
To check the start inhibitor, fold in the motor brake
handle towards the handlebar and make sure the
start inhibitor prevents the handle from activating the
motor.
•
Make sure the start inhibitor easily returns to its
original position after activation.
Power cord holder (model LC 141C)
The power cord holder reduces the strain on the socket
and cord. The sideways motion of the holder reduces
the risk of tripping over the cord.
•
Bend the power cord to form a narrow loop. Insert
the loop into the hole in the power cord holder and
place the loop around the hook. Pull on the loop to
tighten the power cord around the hook.
