Technical description

5.1

Function

The battery charger is designed for 12V vehicle batteries.
A control function checks the voltage of the battery before charging
begins. If the battery is already charged, the charger will not begin
charging. This prevents the battery from becoming overcharged.
The device will not charge deep-discharged batteries.
The charger has safety features that prevent the following:
Short circuit
Overheating
Overloading
Inverse polarity
The battery charger has an IU characteristic.

The charger features the following displays and controls:

Element Explanation
Red "Error" LED This LED lights up if the battery termi-
nals are reversed.
Blue "Charging The charging display consists of three
status" charging LEDs that show the charging status of

tery charges. When all three LEDs light
up, the battery is fully charged.
"0/I" switch Switches the charger on ("I) and off ("0").
