Cutting masonry
When sawing asbestos cement hazardous
dust may be produced. Follow the statutory
guidelines and observe the recommendations
issued by the asbestos cement manufacturers.
Sawing up to a projecting edge (fi g. F)

Using a conventional blade installed upside down,
cut up to the projected edge.
Consult your dealer for further information on the
appropriate accessories.
Proper Hand Position (fi g. 1, 6)

Proper hand position requires one hand on the side front
grip (k), with the other hand on the back handle (m).
Maintenance
Your Berner power tool has been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper
tool care and regular cleaning.
Lubrication

If the tool will not be used for a long period of time,
coat the saw blade with a little oil (e.g. machine oil).
Cleaning
Keep the ventilation slots clear and regularly clean the
housing with a soft cloth.
Protecting the environment
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you fi nd one day that your Berner product needs
replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not
dispose of it with household waste. Make this product
available for separate collection.
Separate collection of used products and
packaging allows materials to be recycled and
used again. Re-use of recycled materials helps
prevent environmental pollution and reduces the
demand for raw materials.
Local regulations may provide for separate collection of
electrical products from the household, at municipal waste
sites or by the retailer when you purchase a new product.
Berner provides a facility for the collection and recycling
of Berner products once they have reached the end of
their working life. To take advantage of this service please
return your product to any authorised repair agent who
will collect them on our behalf.
You can check the location of your nearest authorised
repair agent by contacting your local Berner offi ce at the
address indicated in this manual.
GUARANTEE AND GUARANTEE SERVICE
Each tool, spare part or accessory is consistently
checked before being dispatched from the
manufacturing plant. If, despite this fact, there are any
defects, please send the item directly to our Client
Services Headquarters or to the nearest service repair
shop of the fi rm Berner.
The guarantee period is 36 months and starts from the
day of purchase, which must be proved by the original
of the purchase document. During the guarantee period
the producer guarantees:

free removal of possible defects;
•
free replacement of all damaged parts;
•
free professional servicing.
The requirement is that these are material and/or
manufacturing defects and that there has not been any
inappropriate operation [of the machine]. Furthermore,
only original accessory parts may be used, which
Berner has expressly identifi ed as suitable for the
operation with Berner machines.

reverse side.
