mono audio units can be connected directly;
stereo audio units must be connected via a
stereo / mono adapter (e . g . SMC-1) .
3) Either connect 100 V speakers or 70 V speakers
to the terminals "100V" or "70V" and "COM"
(page 3, fig . 1); make sure that the load of
the amplifier by the speakers will not exceed
60 W RMS; otherwise, the amplifier may be
damaged
or connect a speaker or speaker group with a
total impedance of at least 4 Ω to the terminals
"4 Ω", "8 Ω" or "16 Ω" and "COM" . Figure 2
on page 3 shows various options of how
to meet the admissible minimum impedance
when multiple speakers are connected; please
note that other options are possible .
4) For power supply, either connect the jack
"230V" to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz) by
means of the mains cable provided or, for
mobile applications, e .g . in a caravan, connect
the terminals "12-24 V⎓" to a 12 V or 24 V DC
voltage source (see Specifications for admissible
load) . Always observe the polarity of the posi-
tive and negative terminals!
When the amplifier is provided with DC
voltage, the switch POWER will have no func-
tion and the amplifier will always be switched
on . If required, switch the DC voltage source
on and off .
4 Operation
1) To make sure that the initial volume is not too
high, set the volume control MASTER approx .
to the 9 o'clock position before switching on
the amplifier for the first time . Then switch on
the amplifier with the button POWER .
2) Use the controls MIC 1, MIC 2 and AUX to mix
or mute / unmute the signal sources . Set the
controls of the inputs that are not used to the
position "zero" .
SPEAKER OUTPUT

3) Use the control MASTER to adjust the total vol-
ume . The LED chain will indicate the output
level . To avoid distortions: As a maximum, turn
up the control MASTER to a position where the
LED "+6" only briefly lights up occasionally .
4) Use the controls BASS and TREBLE to adjust
the sound .
5) To trigger signal sounds, use the buttons SIREN,
FOG and CHIME: Press the appropriate button
and then adjust the volume of the signal with
the control SOUND .
Other signal sounds can be loaded via the
USB port (only to be done by skilled personnel) .
6) The LED "PROT" will light up if the amplifier is
overheated or overloaded or if there is a short
circuit at one of the speaker outputs . In this
case, switch off the amplifier and eliminate the
problem .
