PA Mixing Amplifier
Please read the instructions carefully prior to
operation and keep them for later reference . Con-
nection of the 100 V speakers or 70 V speakers
(chapter 3, step 3) requires adequate technical
knowledge in 100 V PA technology and is to be
made by experts only . Operation of the amplifier
is easy, even for adults without any expert knowl-
edge . However, in case of any queries, please con-
tact your installer or retailer .
1 Applications
The amplifier PA-888D provides a maximum out-
put power of 80 W and is specially designed for
small PA systems . Apart from mains operation,
12 V operation and 24 V operation for mobile
applications are supported .
100 V speakers, 70 V speakers or low-imped-
ance speakers can be used (please refer to the
examples on page 3) . For connection of audio
sources, 3 inputs are available:
2 microphone inputs
1 input for audio units, such as MP3 / CD player,
radio or tape deck

The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit uses dangerous mains
voltage . Leave servicing to skilled
personnel and do not insert any-
thing into the air vents . Never touch
the speaker terminals "100 V" and "70 V" when
the unit is switched on . Risk of electric shock!

The unit is suitable for indoor use only . Protect
it against dripping water, splash water and high
air humidity . The admissible ambient tempera-
ture range is 0 – 40 °C .

Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e . g .
drinking glasses on the unit .

The heat produced inside the unit must be dis-
sipated by air circulation; therefore, never cover
the air vents of the housing .

Immediately disconnect the mains plug from
the mains socket if
1 . there is visible damage to the unit or to the
2 . a defect might have occurred after a drop
3 . malfunctions occur .
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel .
•
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug .
•
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals .
•
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is
not correctly connected or operated, or if it is
not repaired in an expert way .

3 Setting up and Connecting
the Amplifier
Set up the amplifier on a flat and horizontal sur-
face; always make sure that air will be able to flow
freely through the air vents on the sides and on the
rear . Switch off the amplifier prior to making
or changing any connections.
1) A microphone can be connected to each of the
jacks MIC 1 and MIC 2 .
2) An audio unit with line level (e . g . MP3 / CD
player, radio) can be connected to the jack AUX:

definitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful
