The seal of the filtering escape device is also affected by size and facial structure of the user, e.g.

beard hair, deep scars, sideburns, etc.
Do not remove the filtering escape device before leaving the contaminated area.

The filtering escape device provides limited protection against low boiling point solvents
•
The filtering escape device provides limited protection against high concentrations of hazardous
•
substances (filtration duration will be reduced, or filter can become inefficient at very high
concentrations).
Do not use filtering escape device in tanks or confined spaces.

The filtering escape device is designed for use in escape situations. Please consult the supplier if
•
you have any doubt as to whether the respirator is suitable for the situation in which you intend to
use it.
Leave the area as soon as the vapour or odour of the contaminants becomes perceptible. The filter
•
is "saturated". It has to be changed.
In normal use, breathe slowly and regularly (inexperienced users may have difficulty breathing).

When removing the filtering escape device, take all necessary precautions to avoid inhaling the
•
dust or contaminant retained on the external surface of the filtering escape device.

Disposal
Respiratory filters should be disposed of as hazardous waste corresponding to your local hazardous waste
disposal regulations.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance may only be carried out by Honeywell authorized and trained personnel or organizations. The
filtering escape device must undergo maintenance as described below every four years, or if opened by mistake,
or opened for an escape.

Equipment and subsequent amendments.
