ENGINE FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

1.
Engage the parking brake (13, Fig. E).
2.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (24, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
3.
Open the right side upper lid (28, Fig. G) by disengaging the fasteners (29) with the supplied key.
4.
Open the right side lower lid (34, Fig. G) by disengaging the fastener (35) with the supplied key.
5.
Replace the fuel fi lter (45, Fig. F) and the sensor installed under it, as shown in the diesel engine Manual.
6.
Perform steps 3 to 5 in the reverse order.

CAB AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT

1.
Empty the hopper (6, Fig. G); if it contains a small quantity of waste, it is not necessary to dump it.
2.
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground, then engage the parking brake (13, Fig. E).
3.
Lift the hopper (6, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraph.
4.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (24, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
5.
To avoid that the hopper lowers by accident, install the lifted hopper support rods (3, Fig. F), according to the instructions
shown on the relevant paragraph.
6.
Open the left side upper lid (9, Fig. G) by disengaging the fasteners (10) with the supplied key.
7.
With a suitable ladder, loosen the screw (1, Fig. AN) and turn the retainer (2).
8.
Remove the cab air fi lter (1, Fig. AO).
9.
Install the new fi lter (1, Fig. AO) with the arrows (2) pointing in the direction of the air fl ow (upwards).
10.
Perform steps 3 to 7 in the reverse order.

WHEEL REPLACEMENT

Preliminary operations
1.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (24, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
2.
Engage the parking brake (13, Fig. E).
3.
Check that the machine cannot move with one wheel lifted (the parking brake operates only on the front wheels). If necessary
keep the machine stationary by placing wedges on the wheels contacting the ground.
4.
Remove the wheel according to the following procedure.
Front wheel removal/installation
5.
Open the right side upper lid (28, Fig. G) by disengaging the fasteners (29) with the supplied key.
6.
Unscrew the knobs (38, Fig. F) and remove the machine lifting bracket (37).
7.
Near the wheel to be removed (1, Fig. AQ), place the lifting bracket (2) on the bosses (3) of the machine frame as shown in the
fi gure, then secure it with the split pin (4). Place a jack (5) under the bracket (2), as shown in the fi gure.
WARNING!
The jack (5, Fig. AQ) is not part of the machine equipment. Use a suitable jack with a minimum lifting capacity of
4,410 lb (2,000 kg).
8.
Activate the jack (5, Fig. AQ) carefully, and lift the wheel (1) until it is slightly detached from the ground.
9.
Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the wheel (1, Fig. AQ).
10.
Install the wheel (1, Fig. AQ) by performing steps from 5 to 9 in the reverse order.
Wheel mounting nut tightening torque: 295 lb·ft (400 N·m).
Rear wheel removal/installation
11.
Place a jack (6, Fig AQ) under the relevant housing (9) in the rear axle (7), as shown in the fi gure.
WARNING!
The jack (6, Fig. AQ) is not part of the machine equipment. Use a suitable jack with a minimum lifting capacity of
4,410 lb (2,000 kg).
12.
Activate the jack (6, Fig. AQ) carefully, and lift the wheel (8) until it is slightly detached from the ground.
13.
Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the wheel (8, Fig. AQ).
14.
Install the wheel (8, Fig. AQ) by performing steps from 11 to 13 in the reverse order.
Wheel mounting nut tightening torque: 295 lb·ft (400 N·m).
