Switching on appliance
Please be sure to observe the safety information in section 2.
The appliance offers optimum treatment for every result. You can choose
between manual operation and three different programmes.
•
With manual operation you select the temperature and treatment time
yourself. The temperature remains constant during the entire treat-
ment time (see "Section 5.6" page 64).
•
With the programmes, treatment is controlled by preset values for the
treatment temperature and time (see "Section 5.7" page 65).

Fill water boiler before each treatment
1. Switch on the appliance at the ON/OFF switch c.
Basic setting
•
The appliance adopts the basic setting:
➥ The display q shows a treatment time of 0 minutes
➥ The display s shows temperature level 4 on the 5-level temperature
scale.
5.3
Messages / Audible signals
An E with a number in the display q:
•
indicates an appliance error. 10 warning tones are heard.
•
see "Section 7" page 75 – Errors and possible rectification.
Error message E 0 in the display q:
indicates the water boiler 6 is empty. 10 warning tones are heard.
•
Fill the water boiler 6 as described in "Section 5.10" page 68.
•
Flashing symbol in the display q:
the cover 5 is open.
•
Signal tones:
10 warning tones = water boiler is empty / defect in appliance.
Fill the water boiler 6 as described in "Section 4.3" page 58 or see
•
"Section 7" page 75 – Errors and possible rectification.
5 warning tones = max. treatment time input (60 mins) exceeded.
•
Enter the treatment time (maximum 60 minutes).
10 tones with increasing volume = end of treatment.

• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
• Protect the appliance from splashing.
NOTE
• Avoid any interruption in treatment by filling the water
boiler 6 before every treatment (see "Section 4.3"
page 58)
