Connecting to mains / Disconnecting

The socket outlet with earthing contact must have at least 10 ampere pro-
tection. We recommend that the wiring in your salon is protected with a re-
sidual current circuit breaker (release current of max. 30 mA) fitted by
your electrician.
4.5.1 Connecting to mains
1. Check the power plug f and mains cable e for damage.
Power supply voltage rating
• The power supply voltage of the appliance can be found on
the rating plate 1 on the underside of the cover 5.
2. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the information on the
rating plate 1.
If in doubt, contact your electricity supply company or a local qualified
electrician or electrical contractor.
3. Using the handle b, move the pedestal appliance to the place where
treatment is to be performed.
Electric shock hazard
• In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces
the risk of an electric shock.
• The appliance (protection class I) should only be used with a
properly earthed socket outlet with earthing contact.
4. Insert the power plug f in a properly earthed socket outlet with
earthing contact.
5. Arrange the mains cable e of pedestal version so no-one can trip
over it.
4.5.2 Disconnecting from mains
Electric shock hazard
• Do not pull on the mains cable e.
• Do not squash or kink the mains cable e.
1. Switch off appliance at the ON/OFF switch c.
2. Disconnect from mains by gripping and pulling out the power plug
f.
3. Wind the mains cable e around the cable hook d (only pedestal
version) to avoid tripping and falling.
