Description of appliance
The appliance can be installed in the pedestal or wall-mounted version. The operation
and functioning of these versions are identical and are described on the basis of the pe-
destal version.
The pedestal version and the wall bracket B of the wall-mounted version are each
equipped with a power plug f and a mains cable e for the power supply (see "Sec-
tion 4.5" page 60).
The appliance is mounted on a height-adjustable pedestal ST5 g, h with castors or
Mobility
with the wall adapter WBP7 y on a pivoting, height-adjustable wall arm z (see "Sec-
tion 3.1" page 56). The appliance is moved into position using the handle b and can be
tilted up to 12 degrees at the tilting joint i with infinitely variable adjustment.
The appliance has an ergonomically shaped steam dome 4 with two air vents 2 and
an infinitely variable ventilation flap 1. The steam dome 4 can be removed for
cleaning (see "Section 6.4" page 72).
The steam dome 4 contains a steam distributor 3 with 14 steam jets to ensure even
steam and temperature distribution. The steam distributor 3 can be removed for
cleaning (see "Section 6.3" page 71).
Under the cover 5 there is a water boiler 6 which can be removed from the appli-
ance for easy emptying/filling (see "Section 4.3" page 58) and cleaning. The capacity of
approx 560 ml is sufficient for a treatment of approximately 1 hour.
The water boiler 6 contains small ceramic pieces 7 for reducing water boiler limes-
cale (see "Section 2.3" page 49).
Water flowing back from the steam dome 4 is collected in a transparent condensation
container j. The 100 ml capacity of the condensation container j can accommodate
the quantity of water from one or more treatments.
control panel k contains the buttons for manual inputs and programme selection,
The
as well as the displays for the temperature and treatment time (see "Section 2."
page 61).

Description of functions
Treatment with warm steam of Hair Spa prepares and supports penetration of hair care
ingredients into the cuticle.Tiny water droplets provide the hair with additional moistu-
re.
The water boiler 6 consists of a two-chamber system in which small amounts of water
are fed to a heating unit and heated in a short time (within approx. 2 minutes).
The water boiler 6 contains small ceramic pieces 7. These ceramic pieces 7 consi-
derably delay the development of limescale. They must therefore not be removed from
the water boiler 6.
Hot steam and cool air are mixed in the appliance to form a dry mixture at a pleasant
temperature (AirSteam technology). Simultaneous temperature control reduces the ac-
cumulation of condensed water, so helping to prevent the treatment product dripping
off the hair.
The water/steam mixture is fed into an ionization zone, in which a pulsating voltage io-
nizes the water/steam mixture, and is then fed to the steam dome 4.
A steam distributor 3 with 14 jets ensures even distribution of the ionized steam in
the steam dome 4. The resulting condensation is collected inside the steam dome 4
and fed to the condensation container j.
