► Install a gate, which is a funnel-shaped entrance and exit
area at the start and the end of the corridor. Keep the
following distances:
– A = 8.7 in. (22 cm)
– B = 2.4 in. (6 cm)

► Alternatively, use the tunnel-shaped STIHL Corridor
Pattern (C) to install the a gate at each end of the corridor.
► When using the "Passage" feature, search loops must be
installed in the linked area in order for the iMow to be able
to locate the gate and return to the docking station,
@ 15.3.
► Define at least 1 starting point in the linked area, @ 15.6.
► If necessary, activate automatic edge mowing or mow the
corridor area manually on a regular basis, @ 14.3 and

The docking station (1) is installed in the primary mowing
area (A). A linked mowing area (B) is linked to the primary
mowing area with a corridor (2). The perimeter wire (3) can
be followed by the robotic mower. To ensure mowing of the
linked mowing area, two starting points (4) were defined.
11.8 Installing Search Loops
To help the robotic mower recognize the location of an
external docking station or a corridor, or if the "Passage"
function is activated, search loops should be installed. If it
crosses one of these search loops during its drive home, the
robotic mower will then directly travel to the perimeter wire
and to the docking station or through the corridor.
To install a search loop:
