10 FORESEEN USE
ATEX version side channel blowers / exhausters are designed and manufactured in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC to European
standards EN 1127-1, EN 13463-1, EN 13463-5.
They are group II equipment for use in environments classified zone 1 and zone 2.
The side channel blowers / exhausters are designed for generating vacuum and/or overpressure and conveying air or gas, compatible
with the unit's components, in continuous duty (see 3.3).
Similarly, the accessories and control systems connected to the unit must comply with Directive 94/9/EC.
The connection and the suction and delivery pipes must be made of metallic or antistatic material.

Unless specifically indicated, the ATEX marking refers to the "internal" and "external" environment.
In case of double indication separated by a "/", the first number indicates the "internal" category (inner surfaces of the blower), the
second category "external" (outer surfaces of the blower, including electric motor).
Configurations "2G" and "3/2G" are all with explosion-proof motors (type of protection EX d).

The electric motors have different types of protection depending on the category and environment for which they are designed.
