How To Start A Cold Engine
1. Be sure auger drive and traction
drive levers are in the disengaged
(RELEASED)
position.
2. Turn the rotary choke knob to the
CHOKE position (see Figure 20).
3. Depress the primer button three
(Recoil Start) Slowly pull the recoil
starter handle until resistance is
felt and then pull rapidly to start the
engine (see Figure 23). Do not al-
low the recoil starter handle to
snap back. Slowly return the recoil
starter handle.

to "1/2 choke"
position.
