SOUND LEVEL

WARNING!
According to the 2003710/CE Directive in the Law Decree dated 10th of April, 2006 (about noise level), the em- ployer
is the one who has to calculate the daily average value to which his operator is exposed
Equivalent continuous A weighted sound pressure level in the workplace measured in compliance with the UNI EN
3746 regulations:
The equivalent values, measured for the auxiliary equipment, are high, since they overcome the reference limit,
which is LpAeq = 70 dBA.
Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the following indications:
• The operator needs a periodical medical check-up.
• The operator must be informed about the risks he runs due to the sound level.
• The operator must use a noise-abatement headset or another similar protection

VIBRATIONS LEVEL
WARNING!
According to the 2002/44/CE Directive in the Law Decree dated 19th of August, 2005 (about vibration level), the
employer is the one who has to calculate the daily average value to which his operator is exposed
Root mean square frequency-weighted acceleration to which the hand-arm system is exposed, measured in
compliance with the EN ISO 5349 regulations:
The equivalent values , measured for the auxiliary equipment, are high, since they overcome the reference limit,
which is 2.5 m/s2. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the following indications:
The operator needs a periodical medical check-up.
The operator must be informed about the risks he runs due to the vibrations level.

2.1.2 General warning

WARNING!
Always use adequate clothing as called for by the job. Wear tight clothing. Do
which may get caught in the moving parts. Use goggles, safety shoes and antivibration gloves (picture C).
It is compulsory to use a noise-abatement headset.
Do not operate, service or repair the equipment, if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
Only well trained and qualified personnel, who have read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully, are allowed
to use the tool.
Keep children and animals away from the tool.
Do not alter the safety and protective devices.
The operator is the only responsible for injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their belongings.
Do not use the tool when you are in an unstable position or off balance.
It is forbidden to operate the tool while standing on a ladder.
Keep the moving parts away from your face.
Before any maintenance operations are carried-out, switch the tool off.
Before any routine maintenance operation, read this Use and Maintenance Manual carefully. For any other
maintenance operation, which is not described in this manual, take the tool to one of the Manufacturer's
Authorised Service Points.
The tool shall be used for the purposes described in par. "Product Description" only. Other uses could cause
injuries and/or damages.
When the tool is not used, select the OFF mode in the switch (6).
When refuelling, the engine shall be switched off and kept away from flames.
2.2

Use

Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes and anti-vibration
When carrying the tool, the engine shall be off. The shoulder strap shall be worn to carry the tool weight.
The user is responsible for accidents or dangers which can occur to other people or their belongings.
Always hold the tool with both hands on the hand grip and keep a stable and safe work position, according to the description.
It is advisable that two operators alternate in the use of the tool, carrying out one work hour and one break hour. A
continuative use can tire the operator too much.
Use the tool just for harvesting olives or other kinds of fruit. Do not use it for any other tasks. It could cause injuries!
