Grease the spigot on the discharge
socket [ 16 ] with an acid-free lubricant.
Loosen the conical nuts on the
compression fitting [ 17 ] by a 3 – 4 turn
(do not unscrew completely). Push the
compression fitting [ 17 ] onto the spigot
of the discharge socket [ 16 ] as far as
it will go and tighten the conical nut by
hand. For optimum tightness, tighten with
a tool suitable for plastic clamps (3).
Grease the spigot on the suction pipe [ 9 ]
with an acid-free lubricant. Loosen the
conical nuts on the compression fitting
[ 17 ] by a 3 – 4 turn (do not unscrew
completely). Push the suction pipe [ 9 ]
into the compression fitting [ 17 ] as far
as it will go and tighten the conical nut
by hand. For optimum tightness, tighten
with a tool suitable for plastic clamps (4).
