• Keep the device at least 20 cm away
from implanted defibrillators or cardiac
pacemakers in order not to jeopardise
its proper functioning.
• Keep the device away from hearing
aids. The radio waves emitted can gen-
erate noise.
• Do not operate the device in the vicini-
ty of flammable gases or in potentially
explosive environments (e. g. paint
shops), there is a risk of explosion and
fire.
• Wireless data connections are not se-
cured against access by unauthorised
third parties.

1. Loosen the lock of the battery compart-
ment (18).
2. Open the battery compartment cover
(17).
3. To remove the battery (23) from the
device, press the release button (24)
on the battery and pull the battery (23)
out.
4. To insert the battery (23) into the de-
vice, push the battery (23) along the
guide rail (16) into the device. You will
hear it click into place.

5. Close the battery compartment cover
(17).
6. Fasten the lock of the battery compart-
ment (18).
Caution: Be careful not to pinch
your fingers when opening and
closing the battery compartment
cover.

The battery indicator on the display (2)
shows the charge status of the battery.
Power supply using the plug-
in power adapter
1. Connect the DC connector (20) of the
plug-in power adapter (19) to the DC
input (4) on the front of the radio.
2. Insert the plug-in power adapter (19)
into a wall socket.
When plugged into the power
outlet for the first time, the de-
vice switches on automatically.
If you operate the radio with the mains
adapter, the power supply from the battery
is automatically disconnected. Connected
batteries do not charge when the device is
operating with mains power.
If you operate the radio with the plug-in
power adapter, the battery indicator does
not appear on the display.
