3. Wait for the blade shaft to come to a stop
before putting the power tool down.
You can place the device on its side to pro-
tect the surface underneath.
4. Remove the rechargeable battery from the
device if you are leaving the device unatten-
ded or if you have finished working.
Cleaning, maintenance
and storage

self when performing maintenance or cleaning
work. Turn off the device.
You should have any repair and maintenance
work that is not described in these instructions
carried out by our Service Centre. Only use ori-
ginal replacement parts.
Cleaning
NOTICE! Risk of damage! Improper cleaning
can damage the device. Never spray down
the device with water. Do not clean the device
under running water. Do not use any abrasive
cleaning agents or solvents.
Always keep the device clean.
Cleaning after operation
1. Remove the rechargeable battery.
2. Keep the ventilation openings (4) clean.
3. Clean the device with a soft brush or a
slightly damp cloth.
4. Clean the shavings ejector (13) regularly
using an appropriate tool (e.g. a piece of
wood, or using compressed air).
Maintenance
The device is maintenance free.
Storage
Always store the device and accessories:
• clean
• dry
• protected against dust
• out of the reach of children
The storage temperature for the rechargeable
battery and the device is between 0°C and
45°C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during stor-
age to ensure the battery output is not ad-
versely affected.
Remove the rechargeable battery from the
device before storing the device (see the sep-
arate operating instructions for the battery and
charger).
Disposal/
environmental
protection
Remove the rechargeable battery from the
device. Recycle the device, battery, accessories
and packaging in an environmentally-friendly
manner.
Instructions on how to dispose of the re-
chargeable battery can be found in the sep-
arate instruction manual for your battery and
charger.
If you have any questions regarding disposal,
contact your local waste management provider
or the service centre.
Electrical devices must not be disposed
of with domestic waste.
Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE): Waste elec-
trical and electronic devices must be collected
separately for disposal and recycled in an en-
vironmentally sound manner. Depending on
the implementation in national law, you may
have the following options:
• Return to a shop,
• Hand over to an official collection point,
• Return to the manufacturer/distributor.
This does not affect accessories enclosed with
the old devices or tools without any electrical
components.
